Who are we?
We are a non-profit organization working in rural communities, committed to transforming lives through comprehensive training and support. We develop programs for early childhood, children, adolescents, and their families, strengthening their skills, life plans, and well-being.
Through an intergenerational approach, we promote educational, artistic, entrepreneurial and protective development, fostering safe environments, strengthening families and building sustainable opportunities for the future.
Founders
Since 2005, Alexander Prieto and Lina Serna have dedicated their lives to serving rural communities, developing social work with an impact in various vulnerable contexts across Latin America. Their work includes humanitarian efforts following the 2010 Haiti earthquake, as well as supporting indigenous communities in Panama and Colombia.
Throughout these years, they have led medical-social brigades, delivered humanitarian aid in times of crisis, and implemented inclusive projects aimed at people experiencing homelessness and disabilities, significantly impacting the lives of hundreds of families.
From this experience, the Cabaña de Sueños Foundation was born, a space where children, teenagers, mothers, and senior citizens find opportunities to discover their purpose and develop their talents. Together with a committed team, we work in Chocontá, Cundinamarca, promoting holistic development, strengthening families, and fostering community growth.
Through art, support, and faith-based values education, we build environments of hope where each person can transform their life and envision a future with opportunities.
